Bra'tac and Teal'c wanted SG-1 to meet the charismatic K'tano, who soon wanted to form an alliance with the Tau'ri. Initially, Teal'c was wary, but eventually he was won over, making the difficult decision to leave SG-1 and join Bra'tac and K'tano in the fight to free all Jaffa. Colonel Jack O'Neill, however, remained suspicious of K'tano, and his suspicions proved to be well-founded.
Teal'c also soon learned the truth about K'tano after a failed raid on Yu's homeworld, when Yu told him the truth about K'tano. Teal'c challenged K'tano to Joma secu, which Imhotep quickly took control of, but after revealing himself, Teal'c killed Imhotep. (SG1: "The Warrior")
