Hrath is the homeworld of the Hrathi, and according to Major Gus Bonner, the planet is one of the least hospitable in the galaxy. It has a stargate that contains an iris.
History
Due to the planet being rich in natural resources, it has been invaded for the past thousand years. The Tlak'kahn are the latest invaders, who have been trying to conquer the planet for decades. They reside on the far side of the planet.
The planet has been conquered and exploited so many times that the Hrathi have learned to distrust all outsiders. (INF: "Coming Home")
