Hou Kaingans are a race of near-humans from the planet Hou Kainga and are of Polynesian descent. Hou Kaingans had been the subject of a millennium and a half of genetic experimentation from the Goa'uld Underlord Tangaroa. They remained happily unaware of their Goa'uld master meddling in their biology and had lived remarkably free from strife for centuries.
