Horus was Abydonian who was part of the Horus Guard serving under Ra when he visited Abydos for the final time.

He was born on Abydos and conscripted into the service of the Supreme System Lord Ra to serve as one of his Horus Guards. (Stargate)
1996[]
He arrived on Abydos with Ra in his Cheops class warship. He was on guard in the Temple of Ra when Colonel Jack O'Neill, Dr. Daniel Jackson, Lt. Charles Kawalsky and Lt. Brown returned. He, Anubis and Horus Guard 2 captured O'Neill and Jackson and brought them before Ra. Ra ordered him to remove his helmet and reveal his face. O'Neill managed to get Anubis' Staff weapon and killed Horus Guard 2, but he shot and killed Jackson. Ra was shielded by the children that followed him and Anubis hit O'Neill from behind but was ordered not to kill him by Ra.
After Ra resurrected Jackson in his Sarcophagus, Ra forced Jackson to execute his friends publicly, but a group of young Abydonians, led by Skaara and Sha're, having learned their history from Jackson, rebelled and created a distraction, allowing Jackson to shoot at Ra and escape with the team. He and Horus Guard 1 pursued them and shot at them but they escaped on a Mastadge. They are brought before Ra and questioned about their failure. Ra kills Horus Guard 1 with his Kara kesh.
Following this, he continued to enforce Ra's will at the Naquadah mine and approached the disguised Tau'ri before being shot by O'Neill. His helmet was then removed and it was revealed to the Abydonians they are Human. (Stargate)
