Background information[]
After the Tau'ri removed Phoenix planet's DHD in favor of their own, Heim was trained by Master Sergeant Norman Walter Davis Harriman on how to use the Tau'ri's Dialing computer and Major Sam Carter instructed him on its nuances. Heim found this kind of both of them, but he also found it foolish to use the dialing computer when they have the planet's native DHD. Heim ensured that the DHD was hooked up to the dialing computer to serve as a backup in case of computer failure. (RPG: "Core Rulebook")
