Rodney McKay uses his healing ability to save Radek Zelenka.

The healing power is a near ascension ability that certain evolved humans such as the Ancients have demonstrated. Through a largely unknown process, they are able to rapidly heal themselves and others of potentially fatal infections and injuries. However, to heal another greatly weakens the healer. Ayiana was able to heal most of those who found her under the ice of Antarctica near the Stargate from the plague she was carrying. However, she lost consciousness before she could heal Jack O'Neill and died soon after of the plague itself having no energy left to heal herself. (SG1: "Frozen")

After downloading the Ancient's Repository of knowledge a second time, O'Neill was able to heal Bra'tac of a knife wound incurred from Ronan. (SG1: "Lost City, Part 2")

Hedda was one of the few of the people of the Cloister who could heal others, but she appeared to experience less debilitating side effects as she was closer to ascension. (SGA: "Epiphany")

When Doctor Meredith Rodney McKay was near-ascension due to an Ancient machine having struck him with some energy, he possessed this power. He used it to save a mortally wounded Radek Zelenka from his injuries after he was hit by a blast of energy from the machine. McKay also later used this ability to heal the scars Ronon Dex had from trying to remove a Wraith tracking device while a Runner. (SGA: "Tao of Rodney")

Adria and the Priors of the Ori are able to heal others without any shown difficulty. Their healing powers are so powerful they can even raise the dead. Most ancients never reach this point because they ascend first, gaining this and many other abilities. (SG1: "Avalon, Part 2", "The Powers That Be", "Flesh and Blood")
