Haven, also known as Fondue, is a town on Phoenix planet, which is the same planet as Phoenix Site. Haven both feeds the Site's personnel and provides leisure activities for those off-duty. The town is comprised of at least 5 districts, one for each of the Aturen, Tok'ra, Human, Jaffa and Unas races.[4] (RPG: "Core Rulebook", "In Ruins")
History[]
The town started as a tent city sheltered by standing ruins where Phoenix Site personnel would get fresh air and sunlight. The Tok'ra then used their technology to make buildings from stone and crystal. The Aturen created hut-like structures from existing vines and brambles. The Unas added their own tents against old walls. The Tau'ri added metal roofs to old buildings. The Jaffa mostly keep to themselves on the outskirts, creating new homes out of repurposed rubble. The Headquarters for Off-world Migration Endeavors (HOME), accelerated the growth of the town with various settlers that added their own architecture and customs.[5]
There is also a fruit and vegetable garden outside Haven that rests between the town and the entrance to Phoenix Site, to deter town growth in that direction.[5] (RPG: "Core Rulebook")
In 2003, after at least three of System Lord Wepwawet's Ha'taks entered the sector, Haven's citizens were evacuated to Delta Site and the tunnels below Phoenix Site. (RPG: "United")
Society[]
Haven is led by the Tau'ri Ambassador Ashlee Kelley. Her advisory body is the Council of Haven with the Councilors; Emissary Tolii of the Tok'ra, Hatana of the House of the Stars of the Aturen, Ry'anne of the Jaffa, and unofficially Raktor of the Unas. (RPG: "Core Rulebook")
Haven has a celebration called Fondue Day, which includes the availability of fondue for consumption and various activities to sample Haven.[6]
