Hatana was an Aturen Ambassador, who was from the House of the Stars. He was the Aturen Councilor on the Council of Haven.

Hatana was one of the first Aturen explorers to make contact with the Phoenix Alliance.[4] He is the Aturen diplomat on the Council of Haven and is Ambassador Ashlee Kelley's most stalwart ally in the Council. He believes in soft power, extending the hand of friendship or the use of trade. He shares resources and information freely and tends to vote along with either the Emissary Tolii or Kelley. He doesn't favor Ry'anne's more directly aggressive proposals.[1] (RPG: "Core Rulebook")

In 2003, Ambassador Hatana arrived at Phoenix Site with several other Aturens and the Nox Tiana, after Tiana had spoken with the Aturen Parliament about sending assistance to the Site. However, the Parliament's opinions on supporting the Phoenix Alliance had changed.[3] (RPG: "United")
