The Hand of Light was an ability developed and used by Daniel Jackson[1] during the period that Anubis, allied with the Haaken, attempted to find an artifact of great power.
Overview[]
When equipped, it caused a Human's hand to become transparent and reveal the bones within. When it was used it released a vortex of energy which, when fully powered, sent those engulfed in its light to a different plane.[1][2] While a powerful ability, it became less powerful the more it was fired and had to be charged before it would work at full capacity again. Behind the Scenes[]
- Originally Daniel was going to be able to put enemies on fire with it, however, this wasn't in line with Stargate and Jackson's character, so the power was reworked to emanate from the light of the Ancients.[1]
