Halkyon belt

The Halkyon belt is a device that appears to be a short-range personal transporter. It appears as a metallic belt equipped with buttons and dials. Its design doesn't resemble the Asgard or Goa'uld.

History[]

The belt has been passed down since the Halkyon's earliest history, though by the time the people fled P3X-527, they no longer knew what the device did. They brought it to Phoenix Site and loaned the belt to them so it may be studied.

Initial readings showed that the belt had a miniscule spatial anomaly surrounding it. When the belt's dials were turned, the spatial field fluctuated and eventually the belt, as well as gloves and glovebox that was used in the test, disappeared. It reappeared sixty seconds later, nine feet and ten seven / sixty-four inches away.

Their guess was that it was a short-range personal transporter, though where the belt goes during the sixty seconds is disappears worried them. They planned that to outfit the belt with a tracker for the next test. (RPG: "Core Rulebook")
