Hadat was a Jaffa Commander loyal to Ba'al who appeared to be in charge of the Jaffa occupying Ba'al's ruined fortress on Asdad.
Biography[]
In 2004, SG-1 raided Ba'al's fortress in order to get the power unit for the anti-gravity shield once owned by Ba'al. However, during the mission, Major Samantha Carter was captured by the Jaffa Ba'al had left to guard his ruined fortress.
Carter was brought before Hadat who attached her to the rack in Ba'al's torture chamber and began using it to torture Carter for the IDC needed to open the iris on Earth's Stargate. Using the gravitational field, Hadat drove Carter's own dive knife into her shoulder and threatened to drip acid into her eye, but was interrupted by the arrival of another Jaffa, in reality Colonel Jack O'Neill in disguise. Hadat quickly realized that something was wrong, but was armed with no more than Carter's knife. O'Neill noticed Hadat's interest in his staff weapon and smashed him in the face with the butt of it, sending Hadat to the floor which he hit with a brutal crack to the back of his head before O'Neill knocked Hadat out with a zat blast. After being freed, Carter attempted to kill Hadat in revenge for his torture of her, but was talked out of it by O'Neill. After destroying the torture chamber, the two departed, leaving the unconscious Hadat behind.
Shortly thereafter, the battle between SG-1 and Ba'al's forces caused the already-unstable fortress to collapse, killing all of the Jaffa still within including Hadat. (SG1: "A Matter of Honor")
