The Atlantis expedition used an area called the HAZMAT storage at the base of the Atlantis control tower. This was the location of the newly installed Halon Fire Suppression System. Dr. Elizabeth Weir was originally hesitant against installing this system as Halon gas is toxic to humans. Dr. Weir, while under the influence of an alien mind, used this area to create a shunt between the poisonous gas system to life support as a kind of insurance policy. (SGA: "The Long Goodbye")
