A Grumgiz is a species of animal indigenous to the planet P6H-970. It's a large, four-legged beast, that has a beak-like mouth that's strong enough to crack a bone, and a thick grey hide with red areas. The hide seems to be able to give the creatures some protection from electricity.
Baby Grumgiz are just smaller than a cow. It's cries sound like screeching tires of a car mixed with mewling of baby lambs.
Grumgiz are used by the Minos as herd animals. (RPG: "A Matter of Fae")

In 2002, Phoenix-1 came across a baby grumgiz that was tangled in an electrified fence. The baby's mom charged over and then paced close by. The team managed to free the baby and it returned to its mother.[1]
