Goranak is a planet in the Milky Way galaxy which holds a Stargate. It was under the domain of the Goa'uld System Lord Moloc.
A temple belonging to Moloc was located on the planet and, during 2004, an army of 2,000 people marched on the temple. Moloc had foreseen this, however, and had a fleet of Ha'taks in orbit to crush the opposition. Its unclear if Moloc ever managed to send the order to attack as he was killed shortly thereafter by Aron and missiles from the SGC with it being stated that his fleet awaited his command to attack.
After Moloc died, the Goa'uld System Lord Ba'al absorbed Moloc's domain.
Finally, when Ba'al was removed from the host and died in 2008, Goranak fell under the control of the Free Jaffa Nation. (SG1: "Sacrifices") (SG1: "Continuum")
