He was the father of Zaddik and part of the original party that went out to explore after the Wraith scout ship that crashed and was part of the group that killed the surviving Wraith. (SGA: "Instinct")

He later was distrustful of Lt. Colonel John Sheppard and his team but allowed them to stay when they promised to find and kill the Daimos. He believed his son had been killed by the Daimos but he had found the young Ellia in the forest and taken her to a nearby cave. When Ellia injected herself with the Iratus bug retrovirus and severely wounded Zaddik, Goran did not recognize him as Zaddik had allowed Ellia to feed on him. (SGA: "Instinct")
