Germany is a nation-state located in central Europe on the planet Earth.
History[]
In 1906, a German expedition to Giza discovered the Dial Home Device needed to power the as yet undiscovered Stargate. The DHD later fell into the hands of the Russians at the end of World War II. (SG1: "Watergate")
In 1982, during the Cold War, a team including the then Captain Jack O'Neill and Captain Charles Kawalsky went to East Germany to a house that is suspected to house a Russian agent. However, the mission failed and O'Neill's superior officer was killed by a surprise attack from armed Russians. (SG1: "The Gamekeeper")
Germany is one of the countries that sent personnel to Atlantis and is part of the Gate Alliance Treaty. (SGA: "Rising")
