Genocide

Genocide is a Tau'ri term, referring to the act of killing an entire people. Genocide is, by many, considered the worst act a human can perform.

Known genocides

• The Ancients attempt to wipe out the early Wraith.
• The Ancients attempt to destroy the Asurans when they desired their own freedom. (SGA: "Progeny")
• The Holocaust, perhaps the most known genocide in Earth history, when the Third Reich killed over six million Jews.
• The Replicators were slaughtered by the Dakara superweapon, and can technically be considered a genocide. (SG1: "Reckoning, Part 2")
• The Taranians were apparently all killed by Michael Kenmore and his genetically engineered Iratus-Human Hybrids, and could be considered a genocide. (SGA: "Vengeance")
• The Wraith apparently wiped out all of the Hoffans as retribution for their vaccine against the Wraith. However, there were still children living on the planet, and it is not clear whether they survived the attack or came from another planet, so it's unclear whether this was genocide or attempted genocide. (SGA: "The Kindred, Part 1")
• The Asuran strategy of destroying human worlds to deprive the Wraith of a food source were also genocides. (SGA: "The Seer")
• The Tau'ri destruction of Asuras wiping out the Asurans. (SGA: "Be All My Sins Remember'd")
• The Tau'ri attempt to turn the Wraith into human was a matter for worse an attempt of genetic genocide.
• Shen Xiaoyi was willing to extract the data from the last seed carrier of the Sekkari, even though it contained the last hope for a species, using the pretense that the race was already dead hence the IOA was willing to commit a second extinction of a species. (SGA: "Remnants")
• The International Oversight Advisory unleashing the Replicators on the Alteran Home Galaxy. (SG1: "The Ark of Truth")
