In an Alternate timeline, where the Tau'ri's allies abandoned them due to Harold Maybourne and the NID stealing from them, Earth was no longer a part of the Protected Planets Treaty and was devastated by the Goa'uld in the year 2000. In 2098, the Beta Gate was at the peninsula. Jack O'Neill realized they were in Scotland and mentioned the Faslane naval base, after Aedan Trask informed Daniel Jackson the loch there were at was Gare Loch. (SG1: "Exile")
