Ganzir, designated P3X-667 and referred to as the Underworld, is a moon with a Stargate. It had a twin moon called Sargon, but now it's debris. They both orbit the planet Irkalla, which is red and lifeless.
Ganzir is ruled by the goddess Eresjkigal.
History[]
Background information[]
The moon is a desolate lunar wasteland. It has a single paved road which leads to a city also called Ganzir. Eresjkigal's palace is at the center of Ganzir. To get there, there are seven gates to travel through, with each gate further disabling weapon capabilities.
Eresjkigal kills her people with plagues, then brings in new subjects to Ganzir through the stargate, wipes their memories, and starts again.
Sometime after Eresjkigal defeated Nergal, Nirrti was on Ganzir, although what transpired isn't detailed in temple reliefs.
1999 and 2001[]
Messages were sent from Ganzir to Hekate. The first informed her of Nirrti's imprisonment by Cronus and encouraged her to take this opportunity to denounce Nirrti as System Lord. The second warned her of Nirrti's escape but urged Hekate to not lose courage and to come to Ganzir to discuss matters in person.
2002[]
Phoenix-1 visited the moon. They saw Nirrti's symbol is in several places on Ganzir, all of which is placed above Eresjkigal's symbol. They also noticed Eresjkigal's and Nirrti's Jaffa were both on the moon. Nirrti's Jaffa also seem to be in a higher position to A'tir, and Bythal noted there was hostility between the groups.
A'tir didn't see any elderly or children under the age of twelve which, Samantha Carter later pointed out, might be the last time Eresjkigal brought in new people. (RPG: "Core Rulebook")
