The HK G36 is an assault rifle used by the SGC and the Atlantis expedition. The rounds fired by the weapon are capable of piercing Wraith and Ori Soldier body armor. The HK G36 is Col. Albert Reynolds' and Lt. Col. Cameron Mitchell's weapon of choice and was used by Teal'c and Ronon Dex to repel a Wraith party trying to take over the Midway Station and Stargate Command. (SGA: "Midway") In recent engagements, Colonel Sheppard has been seen using the weapon when the threats are prevalent on Atlantis. (SGA: "Ghost in the Machine", "First Contact", "The Prodigal")
