Flight suits are full-body outfits worn by the Tau'ri in aircrafts, spacecrafts, helicopters and Cheyenne Mountain. The United States Air Force and Stargate Command use them as uniforms.
Overview[]
A sage flight suit
SGC flight suits were adorned with the wearer's name and rank on the left breast, and on the right, a patch of the vessel or command they serve. The right sleeve included the SGC logo patch and squadron patch. The left sleeve included the Stargate Program, such as Earth or Pegasus project, or could include a flag from one of Earth's countries. The shoulders depicted the wearer's rank insignia.
The flight suits included a multitude of pockets for practicality. They were worn over black undershirts.
In 2005, the color of the SGC's flight suits were phased out from blue to sage.[1] (SG1: "Babylon")
