"I’m just saying that they were a cool team and we’re a cool team and they use their strengths to, you know ..."
John Sheppard[src]

The Fantastic Four is a fictional superhero team appearing in comic books published by Marvel Comics. There are four core individuals traditionally associated with the Fantastic Four, who gained superpowers after exposure to cosmic rays during a scientific mission to outer space: Mr. Fantastic, The Invisible Woman, The Human Torch, and The Thing.

In 2007, Lt. Colonel John Sheppard compared his team to the Fantastic Four, with him being Mr. Fantastic, Dr. Rodney McKay being The Human Torch, Teyla Emmagan being the Invisible Woman, and Ronon Dex being The Thing. However, Teyla disapproved of John's reasoning, although she may have been joking. (SGA: "First Strike")

Later that year, John Sheppard used the alias "Reed Richards" when being interrogated by the Travelers (Reed Richards being Mr. Fantastic). (SGA: "Travelers")
