Fannis was a Human living in the village of Ver Eger and was a friend of Harrid and Sallis.

Biography

Fannis considered himself a historian, and led a group that had uncovered several artifacts on Ver Eger, artifacts contradicting the supposed creation of mankind by the Ori. These items were hidden from loyal Ori followers, who considered Fannis and his peers heretics, until they would one day have gathered enough evidence to convince even the most stubborn believer. However, Fannis kept his cover, attending Prostration and carrying a copy of the Book of Origin. Fannis realized that their beliefs might mean their death, and was prepared to risk his life in the hopes that one day, his people might realize the truth about their own history.

After Dr. Daniel Jackson and Vala Mal Doran had used an Ancient Long-range communication device and became trapped in the bodies of Harrid and Sallis, Fannis was more than willing to aid them. He eventually granted them access to another Ancient long-range communication device discovered by his group, which Jackson used to contact Stargate Command. However, a Prior had tracked Jackson and Vala, and discovered the three over the device. Exposed as a member of the anti-Ori underground, Fannis was choked to death for his heresy.
