He worked on the development of the bio-feedback weapon. He is overweight, and carries a slide ruler at all times, and is covered in ink stains. When he gets engrossed in his work, which he typically does, he constantly sings, although the quality declines as he is close to a solution to a problem. Etherne had doubts about the successful use of the bio-feedback weapon on a Goa'uld symbiote, and was one of a few scientists who knew that it was tested on multiple Goa'uld subjects. As a Herilian, he can see exceptionally well in low-light environments due to the conditions of Herilia. (RPG: "The Herilian Agenda")
