Biography[]
Background information[]
Born on the 13th of March 1963 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, nothing is known of Hamilton's life before he got his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Austin State College in Texas. After this, Hamilton went on to gain a doctorate in Biology at the University of Houston. Following his academic accomplishments, Hamilton proceeded to enter the United States Air Force at the Brooks City Air Force Base in San Antonio where he became part of the Air Force Office of Scientific Research. In this role, Hamilton's skills were utilized in the research of Human Effectiveness at one of the many Air Force Research Laboratory sites which were prevalent around the United States of America. These studies involved health studies in both Radiofrequency Radiation and Optical Radiation, dealing with the use of lasers in operation and medical units which included system hazard evaluations as well as laser eye protection. Indeed, Hamilton also conducted laser range safety surveys while making these studies during weapons training and testing.
Hamilton was later recruited into one of the Scientific Research Teams at Stargate Command in 1997, leading a team of scientists who were involved in the analysis of alien lifeforms found by SG teams during off-world missions. In addition to this, Hamilton was also promoted to be the chief of biological research for Stargate Command. (SG1: "The DVD Collection 35")
2001[]
He was assigned as the leader of the scientific team on the moon of a gas giant, designated as M4C-862. He had a very difficult time dealing with the military personnel assigned to protect his team at the research facility. Dr. Hamilton finally recognized the need for military protection after Colonel Jack O'Neill saved everyone's lives after a swarm of Small energy beings attacked and killed his colleague, Dr. Bill Thompson. (SG1: "Prodigy")
