Devlin Medical Technologies, also known as D.M.T, are a government funded organization that exist on Earth.
They are privy to the most basic details of research development made by the military through the Stargate Program though it was believed that they were not aware of the Stargate, however after being surprised by what they were being sent by the United States Air Force, certain members decided to perform some of their own research on the source of these breakthroughs and discovered information about Stargate Command and most of their projects. Their partnership with the military involved them producing some technology such as the Subcutaneous locator beacons used by SG teams. Alien technology that is given over to the company is quickly used to develop Human based technology in the field of medicine. Their most recent acquisition are the Nanites that make up the Asurans in order to develop them to heal injuries.
Henry Wallace of DMT was responsible with a kidnapping attempt on both Dr. Rodney McKay and his sister, Jeannie Miller, in order to gather their expertise on Nanite technology. Despite the high classification of the Stargate Program, he was quite aware of its activities. (SGA: "Miller's Crossing")
Stanton Research is a division of Devlin Medical Technologies. They experimented with nanite technology under Project Archetype. (SGA: "Outcast")
Behind the scenes[]
- It is possible that this company was named after Dean Devlin, one of the creators of the original Stargate movie.
- The name Devlin could be a reference to the pharmaceutical company Devlin-MacGregor from the movie The Fugitive.
- It is also possible that it is joke/reference to N,N-Dimethyltryptamine. A hallucinogen that is very powerful.
