David Swift was the Secretary of Defense of the United States of America.

Biography

1997

He traveled to Stargate Command to check on the progress of the program. He was very impressed with the base, but was not happy with the amount of alien technology that had been brought back to Earth up to that point. He was then told of a creature which possessed the power of invisibility by Teal'c. He was very intrigued by this and approved a mission to capture it. (SG1: "The Nox")

1999

By 1999, he had been succeeded as Secretary of Defense by Arthur Simms. (SG1: "Fair Game")
