Biography

Background information

Born in St. Paul, Minnesota in the United States of America on March 11, 1964, nothing is known of Dixon's early history until he joined the Minneapolis police department after leaving school. After this, he enrolled in the North Central University where he went on to major in Criminology. After graduating from this university, and at the age of twenty-five, he went on to join the United States Air Force where he rose through the ranks to become a Security Forces Officer, becoming an anti-terror expert whilst in this role. (SG1: "The DVD Collection 50")

Dixon met his future wife, Lainie when they were both still children, and the two swore to each other that they would start a tribe of kids to love and raise. (SG1: "Do No Harm")

1997

Whilst serving as a Major in the United States Air Force, Dixon was assigned temporary command of SG-2 whilst Ferretti was in the infirmary following the Tau'ri's first visit to Chulak. (SG1: "Sacrifice Moon")

1998

He later became involved with the Stargate Program again while serving with its Pentagon Standby Strike Team under Colonel Frank Cromwell. (SG1: "A Matter of Time")

2000

Some time later, Dixon, now the head of the strike team, was assigned, along with his men, to "plug the holes" made by the deaths of SG Team personnel in a turbulent time in the program's history. Dixon was sent to SG-1, officially as an observer, and helped secure a mining treaty on a planet named Adjo, with him and other SG-1 members briefly in danger of dying of a Goa'uld version of the bubonic plague. It was during this time that Lainie was expecting the couple's first child. (SG1: "Do No Harm")

Lainie later gave birth to Dixon's first child, a son, followed by another and then a third child which the couple hoped would be a daughter. They would even go on to have a fourth child, which led to Dixon loving his job for the time it gave him away, though he assured his team he loved them very much. (SG1: "Heroes, Part 1")

2004

Afterwards, Dixon was offered a permanent place at the SGC, which he eventually accepted, and became the commanding officer of SG-13. When Dr. Daniel Jackson and Teal'c tried to flee through the Stargate to P3X-500 in order to effect a rescue mission for the rest of SG-1, Dixon and his team caught them but didn't intervene even though they could've easily aborted the dialing sequence. Instead, Dixon had his team intercept the airmen trying to stop Jackson and Teal'c and give them weapons on the condition that they stunned them with a zat'nik'tel so they weren't court-martialed. While Jackson was stunned Dixon would break protocol like that, he was grateful and took what Dixon had to offer. When General Hammond personally led a small army of volunteers to Kinahhi to take over the gate room there and buy time for General Woodburn to stop Kinsey's plans, Dixon was one of the volunteers as well as his team. (SG1: "The Cost of Honor")

On a mission to P3X-666, his team found ruins of an Ancient city. While exploring the ruins, they ran into a Goa'uld Reconnaissance probe that relayed their position before they could destroy it. Later the planet was attacked by Jaffa and Senior Airman Simon Wells was shot in the back by a staff weapon. He sent Dr. Cameron Balinsky back to Stargate Command to get reinforcements. When SG-1 arrived, he helped them fight off the Jaffa so Dr. Janet Fraiser could stabilize Wells. (SG1: "Heroes, Part 1", "Heroes, Part 2")
