"Two headed aliens, one head good, one evil."
―David Dixon

David "Dave" Dixon is a Colonel in the United States Air Force who first became involved with the Stargate Program while serving with its Pentagon Standby Strike Team under Colonel Frank Cromwell.

Biography

Some time later, Dixon, now the head of the strike team, was assigned, along with his men, to "plug the holes" made by the deaths of SG Team personnel in a turbulent time in the program's history. Dixon was sent to SG-1, officially as an observer, and helped secure a mining treaty on a planet named Adjo, with him and other SG-1 members briefly in danger of dying of a Goa'uld version of the bubonic plague. Afterwards, Dixon was offered a permanent place at the SGC, which he eventually accepted, and became the commanding officer of SG-13. On a personal level, Dixon is married to a woman named Lainie and has a daughter named Vera, three un-named sons and is currently expecting another child.(SG1: "Heroes"), (Stargate SG-1: Do No Harm)

Trivia

The name of his daughter would appear to be an homage to another character that Adam Baldwin has played, on the short lived science fiction show Firefly. His character named his favorite gun Vera.
