The Control Interface Room is a room on the Destiny where personnel can access ship's systems via the "Apple Core"; however, the new crew only has limited access, as systems like navigation are protected by a master pass-code for security purposes. Although used as a bridge in many respects by the Destiny Expedition, the actual bridge of Destiny is located on top of the large structure on the rear of the ship. There are three consoles in this room and they are tied into the Control Interface Hub. From this room, one can monitor all of the ship systems, such as the current power reserves and consumption rate. Rush was able to find and display Destiny's flightpath on a mid-air HUD.

The control interface room is a control room located near the gate room on Destiny. It is used by the crew in lieu of an actual bridge as the primary command center for the ship.

Overview

The control interface room serves as the de facto bridge for the Destiny expedition, as they do not know where the actual bridge is located or how to access it. The control interface room is an open, circular room dominated by the "Apple Core", an interface hub for the ship's systems. Several corridors open into the control interface room. Three consoles are available for use by its occupants. Two are located against the walls, placed so the user has their back to the wall when operating them. The third is built directly onto the Apple Core itself, and serves as the central console.

Access to the primary systems is limited to this room, unless deliberately transferred to another location. Without the master code, even the control interface room is only capable of making limited alterations to the ships systems; propulsion, navigation, and advanced power management are locked out. Shields and weapons can be controlled without the use of the master code. Sensor access is also available. The various consoles can provide readouts on the ship's systems, and a holographic display can be used for a more detailed analysis of whatever data is being accessed. History

Dr. Nicholas Rush can usually be found in this room, monitoring systems, accessing the Destiny database, or solving one problem or another. At least one scientist is manning the room at all times. Virtually any activity of note is monitored or performed from the control interface room, aside from gate travel.
