"He hung on as long as he could. Then he slipped into a coma just after we activated the weapon on Dakara."
Jacob Carter[src]

A Coma is a state of unconsciousness, which can be caused by a variety of ways, one of which is medically induced.

In a coma, the individual's hearing is the last sense to go and the first to return. (SGA: "The Real World")

History[]

In 1997, when Cassandra had a bomb inside her, she fell into a coma when she was brought close to the Stargate. She regained consciousness when she was taken away from it. (SG1: "Singularity")

In 2005, when Selmak was dying, he slipped into a coma just after the weapon on Dakara was activated. Because of this, Selmak couldn't provide the conscious effort and energy to keep his host Jacob Carter from dying with him. (SG1: "Threads")

In 2006, Dr. Elizabeth Weir was in a coma that was caused by nanites. While in her condition, her mind was extremely active for someone in a coma. (SGA: "The Real World")
