He is best known for his role as Shooter McGavin in the movie Happy Gilmore. He also played Lieutenant Richard Castillo in the Star Trek: Next Generation episode Yesterday's Enterprise. He guest starred on the first & second episodes of Stargate Universe playing the role of Senator Alan Armstrong, father of Chloe Armstrong.
