Doctor Chloe Angstrom was a civilian scientist employed by the United States Air Force and was based at the Stargate Command facility to study alien technology.

Angstrom worked under her boss, Dr. Jay Felger, on whom she had a significant crush. However, she realized that he seemed more interested in impressing Major Samantha Carter and that he was oblivious to her feelings for him, even after she kissed him before his mission to P5S-117. Despite being aware of Dr. Felger's lack of interest, she continued to stand and work beside him. (SG1: "Avenger 2.0")
