Chief Leonard George is the chief of his people, Tsleil-Waututh Nation (formerly known as the Burrard Indian Band or Burrard Band), and a Canadian actor. He is a Coast Salish native of North Vancouver, B.C. Leonard had a long battle with throat cancer. He died on December 6, 2017 from heart attack. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Susan (nee Edge), and three children, Justin, Gabriel and Zachary.
