Cerador, designated P8C-441 by the Tau'ri, was a planet in the Milky Way galaxy. The Goa'uld System Lord Kali maintained an outpost on Cerador, which came under attack by an unknown enemy (later revealed to be Anubis). Kali lost two Ha'taks in the battle, but her First Prime was able to board the enemy Ha'tak and take it. The Jaffa crewing the ship fought to the death, making Kali unable to learn who launched the attack. Most of the Jaffa had formerly been in the service of Cronus and Sokar—but one bore the mark of Olokun. (SG1: "Summit", "Last Stand")
Overview[]
Cerador is a dry world, dominated by flora and fauna that can thrive in such an environment. Large landmasses occupy the world, leaving roughly a fifth of the world covered by seas and oceans. It is approximately half the size of Earth, though its lower core density means its gravity is roughly in par with Earth's. Its days are long, as the world spins slowly; a day in Cerador is about forty Earth hours long. On the whole, Cerador's atmosphere is drier than that of the Earth, though the vast majority of the planet's landmasses remain habitable. Despite this, most of the population is focused in a few urban areas, leaving much of the planet underdeveloped. Cerador's technological level is roughly comparable to Earth's Late Medieval period.
