Calaian is a race of humans from the planet Calai. These people used the Wanderer to be able to escape from the System Lord Heru'ur who was enslaving their home planet. The people used a hyperspace generator to abandon their home planet. They became the first members of the Pack and offered people from other worlds to go with them to be free from Goa'uld control.
