Brian Vogler had worked closely with Alec Colson for several years at Colson Industries. He was blackmailed into helping a rogue NID group getting information from the companies satellites and other sources. He presumably killed himself when being forced to help Alec and SGC in bringing down The Trust. (SG1: "Covenant")
