Black was airman in the United States Air Force worked in the Stargate Program, stationed at the Gamma Site.

When Dr. Myers was bitten by R-75 and collapsed, Colonel Stewart Pearson has the three airmen to transport him in a Containment stretcher through the Stargate back to Earth, however before they can proceed, one R-75 pours out of Myers' mouth. Black and the other two SF drops the box. Suddenly, thousands of bugs escape the box as everyone retreats. He was killed either by being eaten by the bugs or when the bugs got into a system and activated self-destruct that destroyed the Gamma Site. (SG1: "The Scourge")
