Bernie Ackerman is a Lieutenant in the United States Air Force and a member of Red Team.

Biography

2006

He and his team were pulled from inoculation duty on 865 to assist SG-1 on Vagonbrei. He was infected with the sleep parasite left on the planet by Morgan Le Fay. He later fell into a deep sleep and was not able to be woken up before Cameron Mitchell discovered him. The parasite began to feed on the Melatonin in his brain and became engorged, affecting the surrounding cranial tissue and eventually provoking a lethal aneurysm, resulting in his death.
