Battledress Overgarment

The Battledress Overgarment (BDO), was a protective, expendable, camouflage-colored, two-piece suit that was worn over clothing. It helped protect against liquid chemical and biological agents, as well as radioactivity.[1] It was a part of the Mission Oriented Protective Posture gear.[4]

Overview[]

It consisted of a coat, trousers, gloves, a helmet cover, and a footwear cover. The BDO was usually worn with a gas mask for greater protection. It could be worn under a Suit, Contamination Avoidance and Liquid Protective.[1]

The Battledress Overgarment was a cheaper version of the NBC suit[1] and was available to SGC personnel when needed.[3]

The BDO was similar to the Chemical Protective Overgarment that was also available to the SGC, although the CPOG instead protected the wearer from vapors.[1] (RPG: "Fantastic Frontiers: Stargate Season One")
