The Battle of Revanna was an operation conducted by Zipacna's forces in 2002, Zipacna's objective being to destroy the Tok'ra base on Revanna and obtain their new weapon after he obtained the information from a Tok'ra operative he had captured.
It occurred alongside the System Lord Summit and the Tok'ra attempt to assassinate its participants.
Prelude[]
During his rise to power, Anubis managed to capture Tok'ra operatives and gain information about the location of their new base on Revanna using his enhanced interrogation methods. He sent his Underlord Zipacna to carry out the destruction of the Tok'ra. SG-1 and SG-17 were also present at the base at this time.[2]
Battle[]
Zipacna's forces arrived in ships and dialed the Stargate to prevent the Tok'ra from escaping. Because his ships were detected, the Tok'ra managed to hide their exact location, but Al'kesh bombing still collapsed the Tok'ra tunnels with the collapsing debris killing members of SG-17 and also the Tok'ra. This was followed by the landing of a massive number of troops to destroy the remaining resistance with the Jaffa Serpent Guards killing some of the Tok'ra. During the bombing, Lt. Kevin Elliot was seriously wounded and Lantash blended with him. Zipacna's Jaffa then entered the tunnels and killed the Tok'ra forces until only SG-1 members, Colonel Jack O'Neill, Major Samantha Carter, Teal'c and Elliot remained.[2]
The four were able to escape the tunnels and enter the forest. They headed to a device that sent out an automated warning for ships to stay away. They reprogrammed it to send an SOS to Dr. Daniel Jackson and Jacob Carter who were returning from the System Lord Summit. They entered the atmosphere in their Tel'tak but were shot down by Death Gliders. They survived the crash and found the rest of SG-1. With the Jaffa closing in, Lantash offered to allow himself to be captured and use the Symbiote poison to kill the Jaffa at the Stargate and allowed SG-1 and Jacob enough time to escape.[4]
Aftermath[]
This attack dealt the Tok'ra movement a serious, devastating blow with the attack killing all the Tok'ra at Revanna.[4] Along with the attack on the Risa system a short time later, this eventually caused them to seek sanctuary at the Tau'ri Alpha Site.[5]
