The Battle of P3X-666 is a battle between the Tau'ri and the forces of the Goa'uld System Lord Anubis on P3X-666.

Prelude[]

On a standard exploration mission of Ancient ruins on P3X-666, SG-13 came across a Goa'uld reconnaissance probe. After a brief fire fight, they were able to neutralize it with a Colt M203 grenade launcher, but not before it sent out a subspace signal informing Anubis of what had happened. Deeming the world to be safe, at least for the immediate future, Stargate Command allowed SG-13 to continue to study the ruins they had found with SG-3 as backup. However, Major Samantha Carter soon realized that the probe had sent out a sub-space signal. (SG1: "Heroes, Part 1")

Battle[]

Moments after SG-13 received the warning, they discovered that Anubis' forces had already arrived on the planet. With Senior Airman Simon Wells subsequently injured by a staff weapon blast, Colonel David Dixon sent Dr. Cameron Balinsky back to the SGC for reinforcements. Major General George S. Hammond sent several SG teams, including SG-1, SG-3, and SG-5 to extract them while Dr. Janet Fraiser stabilized the wounded Wells. When they arrived on the planet, they were immediately faced with an army of Jaffa and several Al'kesh. Taking cover in the ruins, they were able to hold off the Jaffa while Janet tended to Wells. With the help of Dr. Daniel Jackson, the man was quickly stabilized, but not before Janet herself was hit by an errant staff blast and was killed instantly. Meanwhile, Colonel Jack O'Neill was shot in the torso by a staff weapon, however, the wound was not fatal due to the new vest inserts. (SG1: "Heroes, Part 1", "Heroes, Part 2")

Aftermath[]

The memorial service of Fraiser.

After the battle, a memorial service for Janet was held where Carter read the names of those who, instead of having given their lives for their country, were still alive and serving due to Janet's excellent care. Among the many lives saved by Dr. Fraiser, and listed by Teal'c and Carter at Janet Fraiser's memorial service, was the whole SG-1 team, Wells, Major Ian Hules and Sgt. Connie Smith.
