"Come on boys. Have at 'em."
Jack O'Neill[src]

Battle of Erebus was a skirmish between Stargate Command forces and Ba'al's Jaffa on the planet Erebus in June 2003.

Prelude[]

During the time Dr. Daniel Jackson was ascended, he witnessed Bra'tac and Rya'c being captured by Jaffa. However, he was unable to interfere and after he descended his memory about this event was erased. A short time later, he started to recall it. With the help of Rak'nor he realized Bra'tac and Rya'c were imprisoned on the planet Erebus and Stargate Command launched a rescue operation.[3]

Battle[]

Teal'c and Rak'nor attempted to infiltrate labor camp unnoticed and reached Bra'tac and Rya'c but Bra'tac was near death. Teal'c gave Bra'tac an injection of Tretonin and attempted to move him but one of the prisoners informed the Erebus Commander and they were captured. They were tortured for most of the night.

The next morning, Colonel Jack O'Neill launched "Plan B" and Major Samantha Carter and Dr. Daniel Jackson were sent to place C-4 on the Anti-gravity platform to destroy it along with half-finished Ha'tak and cause confusion within the enemy force.

Before the plan could be launched Rya'c was caught spreading the word to rebel to the other prisoners. The Commander ordered his execution but Teal'c offered himself in his place. The Commander agreed and prepared to kill him but the C-4 detonated and the Ha'tak crashed to the ground. The Commander ordered his Jaffa up the hill and they became easy targets for Tau'ri Mortars and snipers with the combined firepower eliminating most of the guards. At the same time the prisoners attacked their guards as well, responding to Bra'tac's call and Teal'c killed the Commander by snapping the Commander's neck. Soon enough the Jaffa forces were destroyed.[3]

Aftermath[]

Following the operation, the camp was liberated and the rescued prisoners were evacuated to the Alpha Site where they then joined the Rebel Jaffa.[3]
