When Jaffa leaders gathered for a summit on Dar Eshkalon, he infiltrated the world and planted a bomb that killed twelve warriors, eighteen bystanders, and two children and severely injured both Teal'c of Chulak and Bra'tac of Chulak. Teal'c later found Bak'al and put the same type of explosive in his symbiote pouch and interrogated him for the location of Arkad, but without success. He was killed when the explosive detonated.
