The Aturen Parliament is the governing body of the Aturens. Their culture is made up of houses and these houses use parliament and debates to settle their differences. The Great Houses hold the most seats in Parliament, and the House of the Dawn occupies the most.
The Tok'ra Polonius took part in discussions with the Parliament for two years, swaying them to his side to become allies with the Tok'ra, Tau'ri, and other species against the System Lords, rather than standing by and doing nothing. In a pivotal vote, the Aturen Parliament voted to end their neutrality and to begin negotiations with the Tau'ri.
