"Anubis fed us this intelligence to lure us here. Our forces defending Dakara are depleted."
Bra'tac[src]

During the end of the Jaffa Rebellion, the Free Jaffa Nation launched an attack on Tartarus, Anubis base and a major stronghold of the Goa'uld Empire. However the Jaffa were deceived as part of a ploy to depleted forces at Dakara.

Prelude[]

"First, I will retake Dakara, then, thanks to the modifications you've made to the Stargate, I will destroy every living thing in this galaxy, including you, all at once."
Anubis, to Ba'al[src]
Ba'al escapes

Ba'al fleeing effectively the end of the reign of the System Lords.

The Rebel Jaffa had taken over Dakara, where the Goa'uld System Lord Ba'al entered into an tense alliance with the rebels in order to stop the Replicators, who began to assault the rebel Jaffa and Tau'ri positions. It was only the intervention and sacrifice of Daniel Jackson that helped stall the Replicator forces who were frozen in place temporarily until Replicator Carter regained control of the subspace link. However, by this time, the Dakara superweapon was calibrated which fired a Replicator disruptor wave through a modified Stargate which dialled every planet in the galaxy causing a destroyed the Replicators.[1]

Ba'al then ordered the previously Replicator controlled Ha'taks to be reclaimed, Teal'c demanded Ba'al surrender and that he would be granted mercy but Ba'al refused and said the Jaffa were surrounded, however Teal'c said it was he was who was surrounded by the newly formed Free Jaffa Nation. Then Bra'tac and his warriors who were able to board Ba'al's flagship, quickly entered the bridge and killed his Kull guards, the Free Jaffa then aimed their weapons at the System Lord, however he simply laughed and activated an Asgard transporter and fled, which concluded the battle. Effectively, Ba'al fleeing lead to the end of the reign of the System Lords as one of their "gods" fleeing proved to all Jaffa that the Goa'uld weren't what they claimed to be.[1]

Ba'al then returned to Tartarus, where both Anubis and what was left of the Goa'uld Empire remained. Even with the Replicators destroyed, Anubis still intended to claim the superweapon for himself and use it to destroy all life in the galaxy. Anubis allowed Ba'al to live so that he may bear witness to the end of all galactic life. Knowing the new Jaffa High Council would order a pre-emptive strike on him, Anubis devised a trap for the fleet assembled by the Free Jaffa Nation for them to attack Tartarus, which he would abandon and attack the lightly defended Dakara.[2]

Battle[]

"He is not here. No-one is here. The defences we fought through are automated."
Bra'tac[src]

A large Jaffa fleet led by Master Bra'tac arrived in obit over Tartarus, and the Free Jaffa army began a ground operation and quickly overrunning the Goa'uld stronghold, facing no real opposition and only fighting the Anubis automated defences, with the Free Jaffa Nation now in control of Tartarus. However, Anubis and Supreme Commander Ba'al were no where to be seen, having already abandoned the planet.[2]

Aftermath[]

"Bra'tac and the remaining rebel ships will not arrive in time. Anubis now controls the weapon."
Teal'c of Chulak[src]
