Atraxia, designated P3X-559 by the Tau'ri was a planet in the Milky Way galaxy that was ruled over by the Goa'uld System Lord Ba'al.
Overview[]
Atraxia's society is in a state of technological development similar to Earth's Dark Age, where any technology more advanced than the one being used at that time being considered a weapon from either Heaven or Hell and having a structural society of clerics and knights, amongst other medieval titles.
History[]
Not long ago, Atraxia was part of the domain of the late System Lord Sokar, who the people of the world believed to be the incarnation of the devil and his troops undead soldiers without souls. Since Sokar visited the world via the Stargate, the inhabitants started calling it "The Devil's Door", believing it to be an opening to hell itself. With the downfall of Sokar, the people of the planet where more than ecstatic, believing the devil had lost a war to the heavens. The planet soon came to the attention of both Ba'al and Anubis, due to the fact that, after L'Kresha's inevitable downfall, Atraxia was the next system en route to Ba'al's seat of power, which coincidentally was Anubis' next target at that point of his campaign to eliminate the System Lords. Although Ba'al had the planet in sight, he payed little attention to it until Anubis' invasion of his domain. (RPG: "Living Gods: Stargate System Lords")
