The Tower in Atlantis
The control tower in Atlantis is the central building of the Ancient city-ship. The central tower contains some of the most vital rooms in the city, including the Stargate, the control room, and the jumper bay. Other rooms are Elizabeth Weir's office, the conference room where the Ancient Council once met, and the holo room. A balcony outside the control room gives a great view of the city. Because the Stargate is housed there, the tower was better shielded than most other parts of the city. During the first year there, the Atlantis Expedition stayed within the area sorrounding the tower, but they have since expanded to other parts of the city.
