Asgard regeneration pod is an advanced stasis and genetic preservation chamber used by the Asgard for sustaining and studying biological lifeforms. These pods are associated with cloning stabilization, cellular preservation, and long-term stasis.
Overview[]

The pods feature a transparent canopy, life-support systems, and Asgard interface controls, and are consistent with other forms of Asgard medical and technological design. They are capable of suspending life, supporting fragile genetic material, and are believed to play a role in Asgard efforts to repair or stabilize biological systems. (SG1: "Revelations")
History[]
In 2002, Heimdall used a regeneration pod to preserve the body of one of her ancestors—a member of the Asgard race from a time before their genetic manipulation became irreversible. The pod, located in a hidden laboratory beneath Adara II played a critical role in Heimdall's efforts to reverse the genetic decline of her species. (SG1: "Revelations")
In 2003, the rogue Asgard scientist Loki used an identical pod aboard his science vessel to grow a clone of Colonel Jack O'Neill as part of his unauthorized attempts to solve Asgard cloning instability. The clone, however, began to deteriorate due to protective markers in O'Neill's DNA and Loki's flawed process. (SG1: "Fragile Balance")
