Aset was a female Tau'ri.
Alternate timelines[]
In an alternate timeline after the uprising against Ra had succeeded, she began a relationship with Teal'c. She became a host to a Goa'uld symbiote in 2992 BC, when Teal'c's Prim'ta approached maturity.
When Teal'c's Prim'ta matured, Colonel Jack O'Neill, after refusing Teal'c's request to kill him to prevent his symbiote from taking a host, requested of the Egyptian Pharaoh Hor-Aha to have the Stargate dug up so that they could travel to another planet to acquire another symbiote. During the mission, Teal'c was able to communicate with his symbiote through a deep state of kelno'reem and able to convince it to wait a little longer before taking a host, though it would result in discomfort for them both. In the process of this communion, he and Daniel Jackson learned that the symbiote was Egeria, the eventual mother and founder of the Tok'ra movement.
After acquiring a new symbiote and returning to Earth, Aset was fatally wounded by a stray Ma'Tok staff blast that made it through the Stargate. To save her life, Teal'c communed with Egeria once more through kelno'reem and asked her to blend with Aset to heal her injuries. Egeria blended with Aset to save her life. The two subsequently became a major part of the following conflict with Ra, eventually leaving Earth for Abydos with Ra and Teal'c to form the Tok'ra. (SG1: "Moebius Squared")
She died at an unknown point in point over the following millennia, either due to battle injuries or the Tok'ra's refusal to use a sarcophagus to extend their host's lifespan.
